LOUISVILLE, KY (The Spread) – One day before the running of the 138th Kentucky Derby, Bodemeister remains the favorite.
According to oddsmakers Bodemeister is a 4/1 favorite to win Saturday’s Kentucky Derby, while Union Rags has the next best odds at 5/1. Gemologist is 13/2, Dullahan is 15/2 and Hansen is 10/1.
I’ll Have Another is 12/1, as is Take Charge Indy. Daddy Long Legs, who drew the rail position on Wednesday, is 30/1 while Optimizer is 40/1. Optimizer will come out of the No. 2 gate while Take Charge Indy drew the No. 3 post position.

Continuing with the updated odds, Rousing Sermon is 50/1, Creative Cause is 11/1 and Trinniberg is 50/1. Daddy Nose Best is 15/1, Alpha is 15/1 and Prospective is 30/1. Went The Day Well is 22/1, El Padrino is 20/1, Done Talking is 40/1 and Sabercat is 35/1. Liaison, who is a 50/1 long shot to win the 2012 Kentucky Derby, will come out of the No. 20 post.
The 2012 Kentucky Derby will take place on Saturday, May 5 at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. Post time for the race is approximately 6:24PM ET and the event will be shown on the NBC network.
