CHURCHILL DOWNS, KY (The Spread) - The 2014 Kentucky Derby field just shrunk for the second straight day.

With one horse scratched and another contender's owners deciding not to run their thoroughbred, Saturday's Kentucky Derby field is now down to 19 contenders.

Hoppertunity was the contender scratched on Thursday due to soreness in his left foot, while the owners of Pablo Del Monte decided not to race their thoroughbred after he ranked as the No. 21 contender heading into the week. Pablo Del Monte was going to replace Hoppertunity but instead, neither horse will run.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book, California Chrome remains favored to win the Kentucky Derby at 9/4 odds. Wicked Strong has the next-best odds at 7/1 while Danza is 17/2 and Intense Holiday is 12/1. Candy Boy, Ride on Curlin and Wildcat Red are all 18/1, while Samraat is 16/1.

The 2014 Kentucky Derby will take place at 6:24PM ET (post time) on Saturday, May 7.
