(The Spread) – As the 2013 NBA Playoffs roll on, one thing remains consistent: The Miami Heat are the clear-cut favorite to win the whole thing.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Heat are 1/2 favorites to win this year’s NBA championship. The San Antonio Spurs have the next best odds at 11/2, while the Oklahoma City Thunder are 17/2 despite losing Russell Westbrook in their first-round series with the Rockets. Westbrook is out for the remainder of the season.
Continuing with the odds, the New York Knicks are 15/1, the Los Angeles Clippers are 22/1, and the Memphis Grizzlies are 33/1. The Golden State Warriors and Indiana Pacers are both 40/1, respectively, to win the NBA championship in 2013, while the Chicago Bulls are 50/1
The clear long shots are the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets and Denver Nuggets at 100/1, respectively, while the Boston Celtics are 150/1 and the Houston Rockets have the longest odds at 300/1 as they trail the Thunder three-games-to-none in the first round.
The Heat are also a 2/11 favorite to win the NBA Eastern Conference while the Knicks are 6/1 to emerge from the East. The Pacers are 14/1, the Bulls are 28/1 and the Nets are 50/1. The Hawks, meanwhile, are 60/1 and the Celtics are 75/1.
In the Western Conference, the Spurs are 11/10 favorites while the Thunder have odds of 8/5 and the Clippers are 17/2. The Grizzlies are now 12/1, the Warriors are 14/1 and the Nuggets are 33/1. The Rockets are massive long-shots to win the West at 100/1.
