(The Spread) – Heading into the postseason, the Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins are the co-favorties to win the 2013 Stanley Cup Finals.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Blackhawks and Penguins are both 15/4, respectively, to win the 2013 Stanley Cup. The Boston Buins have the next best odds at 17/2, while the Anaheim Ducks, Montreal Canadiens and Vancouver Canucks are all 12/1, respectively.
Continuing with the odds, the Los Angeles Kings and St. Louis Blues are both 14/1, respectively, to win the Stanley Cup this year, as the two teams will square off against each other in the first round of the postseason. The New York Rangers, San Jose Sharks and Washington Capitals are all 16/1 to win, respectively.
Getting into some of the long shots, the Toronto Maple Leafs are 20/1, the Minnesota Wild are 22/1, and the Detroit Red Wings and Ottawa Senators are both 28/1, respectively. The New York Islanders have the longest odds heading into the postseason at 33/1 to win the Stanley Cup.
While the Eastern Conference is still unsettled due to a make up game Sunday night versus the Senators and Bruins, the Western Conference standings are set. The Blackhawks will battle the Wild in round one, while the Ducks will take on the Red Wings. The Canucks play the Sharks and in a rematch of a 2012 second-round matchup, the Blues will play the Kings.
