LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – Thus far, bettors are cashing in on the overs and home teams in the 2014 NHL Playoffs.
Offense has been on full display thus far in the 2014 NHL playoffs. Of the seven games that have taken place, the over has hit in six of those seven games with one push (Game 1 between the Rangers and Flyers on Thursday night). And of the seven games, six of the seven home teams have won, with the Canadiens being the lone visiting team to secure a victory. Ironically, that win game in the first game of the playoffs back on Wednesday night.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Bruins remain favored to win the 2014 Stanley Cup at 7/2 odds, while the Blues have the next-best odds at 11/2, The Sharks are also 6/1 to win, while the Penguins are 7/1 and the Ducks are 8/1. The Blackhawks, meanwhile, are 9/1 to win the Cup, while the Avalanche are 12/1 and the Canadiens and Rangers are both 14/1, respectively.
The bottom half of the odds include the Kings at 16/1, the Red Wings at 25/1, and the Flyers are 28/1. The Lightning are also 40/1, while the Wild are 50/1 and the Blue Jackets and Stars have the worst odds at 66/1, respectively.
On Friday night the Canadiens are +100 money line underdogs versus the Lightning, who are -108, while the Bruins are massive -196 money line favorites over the Red Wings and the Ducks are -164 money line favorites over the Stars (+151).
