The road to the NBA Finals in the Eastern Conference now runs through Cleveland as the Cavaliers clinched the top seed in their conference and are 4/7 favorites to win the 2009 NBA Championship.
Oddmakers from online sports book SBG Global have made the Cavs an 8/5 favorite to win the 2009 NBA Finals Championship. Actually, Cleveland has to share those 8/5 favorite odds with Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers, who also have 8/5 odds to win this year’s NBA Championship.
The Cavs have had an amazing season, winning 64 games to this point and losing just one game at home. Considering how great they’ve been at home this year (and the fact that they’ll have home court advantage throughout the playoffs), it’s easy to see why oddsmakers favor the Cavs in the postseason.
Cleveland is led by their all-everything “King”, LeBron James, who leads the team in points per game with 28.3, rebounds per game with 7.7, assists per game with 7.2 and steals per game at 1.7.
Hop on the Cavaliers now if you favor them in the Finals, because who knows how much their odds will drop over the next couple weeks.
