ST. LOUIS, MO (The Spread) – The Blues will be without their best scorer on Thursday when they take on the Flames.
After suffering a lower-body injury against the Canucks on Monday, Vladimir Tarasenko won’t play versus the Flames on Thursday night. He is being listed as day-to-day but the Blues expect him to be ready for the playoffs. After calling up Ty Rattie on Wednesday, it’s a possibility that Tarasenko won’t play the rest of the regular season as the Blues try to secure the top spot in the Western Conference.
Tarasenko is the Blues’ leader in points (71) and goals (36) and has been the club’s top offensive player all season. If he misses time in the postseason it could be devastating for a team that continues to rack up regular season points but has underachieved in the playoffs.
