Temple is a good bet to reach the NCAA Tournament but with an at-large bid at stake, the Owls will host Memphis tonight at 7:00PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Owls are 4.5-point home favorites versus the Tigers while the over/under is sitting at 148.5 points.
Temple is 18-10 on the year and 14-12 against the spread, but the Owls have failed to cover the spread in seven of their last 10 games despite going 7-3 straight up over that span. They're 6-5 against the number at home this season.
As for Memphis, the Tigers are coming off a 92-82 win over Tulsa in which they covered as a 2-point underdog. But they're just 2-4 against the spread and straight up over their last six games, which includes an 80-71 loss at South Florida as an 8-point favorite.
This game has the makings of being closer than people think. Shaq Goodwin and Dedrick Lawson had double-doubles in the win over Tulsa and both players produced double-doubles in Memphis' first meeting with Temple. In that game, the Tigers knocked off the Owls 67-65 behind two late foul shots by Ricky Tarrant Jr.
The road team has cashed in seven of the last eight meetings between these two teams while the underdog is 6-2 ATS in the last eight games. The Owls are also just 1-4 against the number in their last five games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five games coming off a win.
