LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) - The 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup will be held on February 14 through March 29 in Australia and New Zealand. Here's a look at the odds.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Australia is currently a 9/4 favorite to win the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup while South Africa has the next-best odds at 10/3. India, meanwhile, is 5/1 while New Zealand is 11/2 and England and Sri Lanka are 8/1, respectively.
Pakistan, meanwhile, is 12/1 to win the ICC Cricket World Cup this year while West Indies is 16/1. The current long shots are Bangladesh at 150/1 and Zimbabwe at 250/1, while Ireland is a whooping 500/1 to win this year's Cup. Afghanistan at 1000/1, Scotland at 2000/1 and UAE at 2000/1, have the longest odds to win of the 14 participants.
India won the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup when it beat Sri Lanka by six wickets. That victory put an end to a streak of three-straight Cup wins by Australia in 1999, 2003 and 2007. Australia also won the 1987 ICC Cricket World Cup by beating England.
