According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Ottawa's Erik Karlsson is favored to win the Norris Trophy at 4/1 odds, while Boston's Zdeno Chara has the next best odds at 9/2. Nashville's Shea Weber is 13/2, Pittsburgh's Kris Letang is 7/1 and both Alex Pietrangelo of St. Louis and Ryan Suter of Minnesota are 10/1, respectively.

Continuing with the odds, Florida's Brian Campbell and San Jose's Dan Boyle are 12/1, respectively, while Vancouver's Alexander Edler and Winnipeg's Dustin Byfuglien are 15/1, respectively. Toronto's Dion Phaneuf and Montreal's P.K. Subban are 20/1 to win the Norris Trophy in 2013, while Phoenix's Keith Yandle is 22/1.

Here are your long shots to win the award: Michael Del Zotto of New York is 25/1, as is Winnipeg's Tobias Enstrom, while Columbus' Jack Johnson is 30/1 and Calgary's Mark Giordano is 35/1 (as is Mark Streit of the Islanders). The field currently has odds of 9/1.

Karlsson won the Norris last season and Nicklas Lindstrom of the Red Wings won in 2010-11. Duncan Keith of the Blackhawks won the award in 2009-10, while Chara won it in 2008-09. Lindstrom also won the award three consecutive times from 2005 through the 2007-2008 season.
