DENVER, CO (The Spread) – John Fox is out in Denver but it doesn’t appear as though he’ll be unemployed for very long.
On Monday evening the Broncos and Fox mutually decided to part ways, which ended a four-year run where he went 46-18 with on Super Bowl appearance. The Broncos also made the playoffs in each of those four seasons, including in 2011 when the limited Tim Tebow was their quarterback.
Fox immediately said that he plans to continue his coaching career noting, “I am eager to continue my coaching career and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.” Those opportunities could be in Chicago or Atlanta, which both have openings. In fact, the Bears have scheduled a head-coaching interview with Fox, who would work with quarterback Jay Cutler.
A source close to Peyton Manning told Ross Tucker of Sports on Earth that he thinks Manning will play in 2015. He’s owed $19 million next season.
