College FB Report Card

The 2007 college football season is a third over in most bastions as schools look to wrap up regular-season campaigns by the Thanksgiving holidays if not before.

2007 PGA Championship

Only 30 guns left, shouldn’t be too hard to pick the last one standing. That’s misleading, though, because only five players---Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, K.J.Choi, Steve Stricker and Rory Sabbatini---have a chance to win the FedEx Cup come Sunday evening.

Pointspreads Explained

Spread betting was invented by Charles K. McNeil, a math teacher from Connecticut who became a bookmaker in Chicago in the 1940s. The bettor bets that the difference in the scores of two teams will be less than or greater than a value specified by the bookmaker.

2007 MTV VMA Odds

Even though football season is upon us, some people are handicapping Amy Winehouse vs. Justin Timberlake rather than Michigan vs. Oregon. With gambling the new American Pastime, there is no better place for the MTV Video Music Awards to be hosted at than Las Vegas.

2007 BMW Championship

With all the attention on Phil Mickelson holding off Tiger to win the Deutsche Bank Championship, Steve Stricker is flying under the radar at this week’s BMW Championship. He’s currently second in the FedEx Cup standings. I don’t know what that means except that he has a good chance with two strong tournaments to win the whole shebang.
