Oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction have made Connecticut –4.5 point spread favorite. The over/under for this game has been set 51.5 total points.

Top Public Betting Trend: Buffalo is 5-1 against the spread in its last six games and 6-1 straight up in its last seven contests. The total has also gone over in seven of Buffalo’s last eight games.

Key Stat: The Bulls are averaging just over 30 points a game this season and 242.3 passing yards per game.

Game Outlook: Buffalo shocked the college football world a couple of weeks ago when it beat highly ranked Ball State in the MAC Championship Game at Ford Field in Detroit. The job head coach Turner Gill has done turning around that program is remarkable and while Connecticut might have the more overall talent, we happen to think the Bulls have more magic moment left in their season. Buffalo didn’t necessarily play in a tough conference, but they’ve got a lot of confidence and momentum from beating Ball State and they care certainly score. The Huskies bring a stout defense to the turf, one in which could give the Bulls trouble. But UCONN has also struggled scoring at times this year and if Gill can put a good game plan together, the Bulls will have a shot in the end. We think this game is going to be close throughout and think only a field goal separates these two schools. While Buffalo could certainly win this game outright, we think they’ll fall just shy of a win, but cover the +4.5 point spread. For the rest of our College Football Bowl Free Pick, see below.
