Celtics Season Odds
The defending NBA Champion Boston Celtics are stacked and ready for another title run. Oddsmakers established the Celtics’ odds to win the 2009 NBA Finals at 7/2. Bet NBA Futures and Season Odds Offseason Additions: The Celtics were able to re-sign Tony Allen, Sam Cassell and Eddie House, but were unable to re-up with James Posey, who flocked to the New Orleans Hornets. Boston also added Darius Miles and Patrick O’Bryant and drafted JR Giddens and Bill Walker. 2008-2009 Season Outlook: If you liked what the Celtics did last year, you might be in for a repeat performance. Returning for another season is the “Big Three” of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, although losing Posey hurts a bit. This is still the team to beat in the Eastern Conference, although the Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers have reloaded and the Detroit Pistons just added Allen Iverson so Boston will have a tougher task of repeating this year. However, the trio of Garnett, Pierce and Allen will get the best of teams on most nights and the C’s should have no problem making a deep playoff run yet again.
