The matchup has been set for Super Bowl XLIV, as the Indianapolis Colts will take on the New Orleans Saints at 6:30PM ET on Sunday, February 7, 2010.

Bet Super Bowl XLIV Future Odds

The New England Patriots opened the year as 8/1 preseason favorites to win Super Bowl XLIV, but now the Colts find themsleves as 6-point favorites over the Saints according to oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction. The over/under for the NFL title game is currently 56.5

The Colts entered the season as 12/1 mid-range long-shots to win Super Bowl XLIV. But they ran away with the top seed in the AFC by compiling a 14-2 record, including an impressive 7-1 road record. They reached the Super Bowl by knocking off the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional Round and the New York Jets in the AFC Championship Game.

The Saints had a similar path to the big game by running out to a 13-0 record before losing their last three games of the season. Despite their sour finish, they still captured the top seed in the NFC and then went on to thump the Arizona Cardinals in the Divisional Round and squeak past the Minnesota Vikings in overtime of the NFC Championship Game. Entering the year, the Saints were 20/1 to win Super Bowl XLIV, making them extremely valuable to those bettors that wagered on them in preseason.

Despite their 8/1 odds to win Super Bowl XLIV, the Ravens knocked out the Patriots in the first round of the postseason. New England struggled with inconsistency all season, especially on the defensive side of the ball. The Cowboys, who were 9/1 to win, were knocked out by the Vikings in the Divisional Round.
