Limit

The minimum or maximum wager a book maker will accept

Lock

A term used for a wager that seemingly can’Äôt lose

Middle

Placing wagers on opposite sides of the same game to ensure a profit regardless of outcome. Also know as a scalp

Nickel

Betting lingo for $500

Off The Board

A contest in which there is no betting line available

Parlay

A single wager in which two are more teams are bet. In order for the wager to win, all the teams need to cover their point spreads

Push
