Bet UFC 107
Fitch enters the fight as the heavy favorite according to online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com, as he has a betting line of -500 while Pierce has a line of +350. Here is a closer look at both fighters heading into this main event bout, which will take place from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tenn. on Saturday at 10PM ET on Pay-Per View.
Jon Fitch (20-3)
Strengths: Fitch is a wrestler with respectable boxing skills. His wrestling ability may be tops in the UFC as it has allowed him to rack up a number of wins. Fitch also is able to avoid submissions well and has proven it takes a lot to beat him, as he has never been submitted or knocked out in his UFC career, which spans 11 fights.
Weaknesses: While Fitch is very skilled, he hasn’t shown the ability to finish his opponents, which has delayed his rise within the ranks of the UFC. Fitch’s last five UFC fights have all went to a decision. Fitch has also shown that he struggles with superior strikers, as he was dominated for five rounds by welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre.
Last Five Fights:

Unanimous decision win over Chris Wilson at UFC 82 on March 1, 2008
Split decision win over Diego Sanchez at UFC 76 on Sept. 22, 2007
Mike Pierce (10-2)
Strengths: Pierce is a good all-around fighter. He is very compact and strong and has explosive ability with takedowns. Pierce is a guy that can fight standing and on the ground as seen is his UFC debut win over Brock Larson.
Weaknesses: Pierce has not fought anyone to the level of competition that he will face Saturday against Fitch. Pierce, like Fitch, has also struggled to finish his opponents as he has climbed up the MMA ladder.
Last Five Fights:
Unanimous decision win over Brock Larson at UFC Fight Night 19 on Sept. 16, 2009
Unanimous decision win over Paul Bradley at RIE 2 at April 30, 2009
Third round TKO win over Justin Haskins at WEC 39 on March 1, 2009
Second round TKO win over Sean Huffman at CATC 4 on Nov. 22, 2008
Second round TKO win over Mark Miller at SF 24 on Sept. 19 2008
Who will win: This fight likely won’t have a lot of fireworks as it should pretty much be a wrestling match. Fitch has the experience and talent edge in this one and should be able to control the fight on the ground to earn yet another decision victory.
