Indy Japan 300 Odds
The IndyCar Racing League has two races remaining in the 2009 season with the Indy
Ryan Briscoe holds a 25-point lead in the standings and is also favored to win Friday’s race.
Briscoe is the pre-race favorite to win with 3/1 odds according to odds makers from the online sports book SBGGLOBAL. Other short odds to win are Scott Dixon (7/2), Helio Castroneves (9/2), and Dario Franchitti (9/2).
Briscoe is coming off a win in the last IRL event on Aug. 29, and has finished first or second in six of his last seven events. Briscoe has three wins on the year and is holding off Franchitti, who is 25 points behind in the standings.
Castroneves was the 2006 winner of this event and is fourth in the points standings. Castroneves has not finished better than 12th in his last three races.
Franchitti has finished in the top five in five of his last six races and needs a win to try and get past Briscoe in the standings with two races remaining.
