Edgar upsets Penn again
Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice, shame on us. Frankie Edgar upset B.J. Penn for the second time on Saturday night at UFC 118 to retain the lightweight title. Bet on UFC Events Edgar dominated the fight, which went all five rounds. He was able to score takedowns early and was more active with his striking. Penn rarely put on any offense as Edgar was voted the winner in all five rounds by all three judges to successfully defend his lightweight title. In the co-main event, Randy Couture made short work of boxing champion James Toney, submitting him in the first round by arm triangle. The much-hyped MMA vs. Boxing bout went as many thought, as Couture scored a quick takedown and worked his ground-and-pound before sinking in the choke. Couture had a betting line of -675 for the fight. For complete UFC 118 main card results, see below. Randy Couture (-675) def.
