Kuchar wins in playoff

Matt Kuchar took advantage of a little luck and a three-putt from Martin Laird to win the The Barclays on Sunday.

After shooting a 5-under 66 on Sunday, Kuchar managed to get into a playoff with Laird after Laird three-putt on the 72^nd hole.

On the first playoff hole, Kuchar hit an approach shot that looked to be long, but his ball caught a slop on the 18^th green and turned back to the hole, where it stopped 30 inches away, setting up the win.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL, Kuchar had 25/1 odds to win the event, meaning a $100 bet on Kuchar will pay out $2,500.

Laird started his day with two birdies in a row to take a four-shot lead in the tournament, but followed up with a double bogey and a bogey to open the door for others. Laird shot an even par 71 on Sunday.

Kevin Streelman and Steve Stricker finished tied for third at -10 for the tournament while Tiger Woods shot a 67 on Sunday to finish the tournament at -7, which put him tied for 12^th.
