Kuchar wins in playoff
Matt Kuchar took advantage of a little luck and a three-putt from Martin Laird to win the The Barclays on Sunday. Bet on PGA Events On the first playoff hole, Kuchar hit an approach shot that looked to be long, but his ball caught a slop on the 18th green and turned back to the hole, where it stopped 30 inches away, setting up the win. According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL, Kuchar had 25/1 odds to win the event, meaning a $100 bet on Kuchar will pay out $2,500. Laird started his day with two birdies in a row to take a four-shot lead in the tournament, but followed up with a double bogey and a bogey to open the door for others. Laird shot an even par 71 on Sunday. Kevin Streelman and Steve Stricker finished tied for third at -10 for the tournament while Tiger Woods shot a 67 on Sunday to finish the tournament at -7, which put him tied for 12th.
