Women’s 400m Dash Pick
The race to gold in the Women’s 400-meter Dash appears to be down to two. Which one will grab the victory at the Rio Summer Olympics tonight?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Allyson Felix is the favorite to win tonight, as she has -175 odds while Shaunae Miller is listed at +165 to prevail. The next shortest odds is Phillis Francis at +2500. The finals of the Women’s 400-meter dash is set to take place tonight at 9:45PM ET from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Felix competes for the United States. She has won gold medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics in a variety of events, none of which were the 400. She did win the 2015 World Championship in the event, however. Her best time in her career in the event is 49.26. She posted a 49.67 in the semifinals.
Miller competes for the Bahamas. She is looking to win her first Olympic medal. She came in second at the 2015 World Championships. Her top time in this event is 49.55. She posted a 49.91 in the semifinals.
Miller and Felix appear to be the only two really in the mix to win tonight. Felix has managed to get Miller when it counts, including last year’s World Championships. Felix looked comfortable in her semifinal win and is likely to push for a new PR tonight. Miller may feel the nerves by competing for her first gold medal.
