Olympic Equestrian Odds
LONDON, England (TheSpread) – Equestrian is the one sport in the 2012 Olympics where men and women compete on the same field. Here is a look at the odds to win the gold in Equestrian events.
There are six events at the Olympics involved in Equestrian, but only three events have odds listed and all are in the team category. In two of the three events, Great Britain is favored to win. Germany is the favorite in the other.
At the 2008 Olympics, Germany won three of the six events. The Germans didn’t win Team Jumping, and didn’t even medal. That is the lone event they are favored in this year, as they have 3/2 odds to win. Great Britain failed to even win a single silver medal at the 2008 Olympics.
At the last World Championships, which took place in 2010, Great Britain did win in Team Eventing, which they are a 9/4 favorite to win at this Olympics. They also won Team Dressing, in which they have 3/2 odds to win this year. Germany did claim the championship in team jumping as well.
