Russia finished third at the 2011 World Championship, losing to both the U.S. and Jamaica. Russia came in third at the recent Indoor Championships in this event. Russia won the silver back at the 2008 Olympics.
Jamaica placed second at the 2011 World Championship, losing by 0.62 seconds to the U.S. Jamaica did claim the bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics.
