LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – The 2014 World Cup has its final two teams set to meet. Here is a look at the opening odds to win the World Cup.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Germany is favored to win the final match over Argentina. Germany has been given odds of -150 to win the match, while Argentina is listed at +125 to prevail.
Germany put on a clinic in its semifinal match with Brazil, winning 7-1 in front of thousands of Brazilian fans. Germany at one point scored three goals in three minutes and had four in six. Toni Kroos and Andre Schurrle each had two goals in the win and Germany had its seven goals on just 14 shots.
Argentina advanced to the championship match with a win over the Netherlands. The game was scoreless after 120 minutes, but Argentina won 4-2 in penalty kicks, thanks to a pair of saves from Sergio Romero. Argentina hasn’t allowed a goal in the knockout stage of this World Cup, but only have two goals in the three games as well.
