Sunday Week 2 CFL Odds
SASKATCHEWAN (The Spread) - Two teams that won in Week 1 will square off tonight when the Saskatchewan Roughriders host the Edmonton Eskimos at 7:00PM ET.
Oddsmakers have installed the Roughriders as 4.5-point favorites over the Eskimos, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 48 points. Both of these teams won last week, with Edmonton winning at home and Saskatchewan winning on the road.
The Eskimos squeezed out a 19-15 win over the Toronto Arognauts last Saturday as Steven Jyles threw for 236 yards on 21 of 36 passing with one interception. Adarius Bowman also hauled in five passes for 110 yards as Edmonton covered as a pick’em.
Rating surprisingly, Saskatchewan routed the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 43-16 in Week 1. Darian Durant threw for a whopping 390 yards on 25 of 34 passing with four touchdowns. Wideout Weston Dressler also went off, catching 13 passes for 180 yards and three touchdowns as the Roughriders covered as 7-point road underdogs.
According to latest CFL trends, the over is 10-2 in the last 12 meetings between these two teams in Saskatchewan while the Eskimos are 4-1 against the spread in their last five road games against the Roughriders and 5-2 ATS overall in the last seven meetings.
