Froome still the Tour favorite
The Tour de France moves to stage 4 on Tuesday and favorite Chris Froome is improving his chances to win.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Froome remains the favorite, as he has -115 odds to take this year’s championship. Other short odds to win are Nairo Quintana (+135) and Fabio Aru (+1200). Stage 4 is a 147.6-mile, flat course from Saumur to Limoges and will run early Tuesday.
The third stage saw Mark Cavendish win for the second time this year with a time of 5:59:54. Despite that Peter Sagan is the overall leader right now by 8 seconds on the field. Froome moved to 14 seconds within the overall lead with a 22nd-place performance on Monday. Quintana was 23rd on Monday while Aru was 29th. Quintana is now sixth in the overall standings while Aru is ninth.
When it comes to Tuesday’s Stage 4, Sagan is listed as the favorite with +300 odds. Andre Greipel is next at +350 while Cavendish has +550 odds to win.
