BRAZIL (The Spread) – Belgium has yet to lose in the 2014 World Cup. Can the United States find a way to hand them a loss in today’s knockout stage match at 4PM ET.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Belgium is the favorite in this match, as it has odds of +105 to win in regulation time, while the United States has a money line of +260 to win in 90 minutes. The odds of the match being tied at the end of regulation has been set at +250, while the over/under total for the game is being listed at 2.5 goals.

Belgium went 3-0-0 in Group H to win the foursome. It scored four goals while allowing just one. The United States went 1-1-1 in Group G to finish second in the group. The U.S. scored four goals and allowed four goals.

WORLD CUP FREE PICK: Many are looking for the United States to win, and while the U.S. did face tougher competition than Belgium in group play, Belgium still is the better team. Belgium didn’t allow opponents to produce many scoring chances and the United States hasn’t been much of an aggressor in this World Cup aside from when it fell behind Portugal 1-0. The U.S. can’t be tentative if it hopes to win. I expect Belgium to play well defensively and find some scoring chances and eventually squeak out a win in regulation.

WORLD CUP FREE PICK: BELGIUM +105
