HOUSTON, TX (TheSpread) – The 2014 IndyCar Series competes in a pair of races this weekend for the Shell & Pennzoil Grand Prix of Houston.

These are two races, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Each race will be 90 laps. According to oddsmakers at, Will Power is favored to win at least one of the duels, as he has 3/1 odds. Other short odds to prevail are Helio Castroneves (7/1), Scott Dixon (7/1) and Ryan Hunter-Reay (7/1).

Power won one of these duels last year, coming in with a win in the second race. Power is the points leader by 39 points. He has two wins this year as well as three runner-up finishes.

Castroneves is second in the point standings. He has one win this year and five top 5s. He struggled at this track last year, placing outside the top 15 in both races.

Dixon also won one of the duels last year, claiming the first. Dixon is currently eighth in the point standings and he is seeking his first win of the year. He has four tops 5s this season.

Hunter-Reay is third in the point standings, 60 points out of first. He has two wins and two runner-up finishes this year, but has finished outside the top 10 in three straight. He placed 20th or worse in both races at Houston last year.
