France is now 27-18-11 in World Cup play thanks to a 3-0 win over Honduras and a 5-2 win over the Swiss. France has scored 16 goals over its last three international matches entering today’s game. In the win over Switzerland, France jumped out to a 5-0 lead before the Swiss scored twice late. France tallied a total of 22 shots, 16 shots on goal and 20 tackles. Five different players scored in the win and Karim Benzema led the way with one goal on eight shots.
Ecuador is now 4-5-0 in nine World Cup matches following a 2-1 loss to Switzerland and a 2-1 win over Honduras. Ecuador didn’t look all that great in the win, as it was outshot by Honduras, 16-8 and it had just five total shots on goal. Honduras also won the tackle battle 21-18. Honduras jumped out to a 1-0 lead, but Ecuador answered with a pair of scores from Enner Valencia.
