Updated Women’s World Cup Odds
CANADA (TheSpread) – The 2015 Women’s World Cup has reached the knockout stage. Here is an updated look at the odds to win it all as 16 teams remain.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, it is now Germany that is favored to win it all, as they are getting 9/5 odds to win. The United States now has 12/5 to win, while France has 6/1 odds to win the World Cup. The knockout stage begins on Saturday.
Germany went 2-0-1 in group play to win Group B. The Germans beat the Ivory Coast 10-0, tied Norway 1-1 and then beat Thailand 4-0. Its goal differential was +14. Germany is set to face Sweden on Saturday in the round of 16.
The United States won Group D by going 2-0-1. The Americans picked up a 3-1 win over Australia, played Sweden to a scoreless draw and then beat Nigeria 1-0. The U.S. had a +3 goal differential. The Americans will face Colombia in the round of 16 on Monday.
France won Group F by going 2-1-0 in group play. France owns a 1-0 win over England, a 2-0 loss to Colombia and a 5-0 win over Mexico. France’s goal differential is +4. France will face South Korea on Sunday in the round of 16.
