Holland favored to be Spider-Man
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – Who will be casted as “Spider-Man” for the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Tom Holland is favored at 6/5 to be casted as “Spider-Man” for the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise. Charlie Rowe has the next best odds at 7/5 while Charlie Plumber is 11/5 and Matthew Lintz is the long shot at 5/1.
Jeff Sneider of The Wrap was first to report that the “Spider-Man” casting was down to those four finalists. The site claims that the delay in casting is because there’s conflict between Sony and Marvel between which actor is the right choice to play Peter Parker.
Holland is best known for playing the title role in Billy Elliot the Musical at the Victoria Palace Theatre, as well as for starring in the 2014 film The Impossible.
