U.S. vs Sweden Odds
CANADA (TheSpread) – The United States returns to action tonight at 8PM ET when it faces Sweden in the Women’s World Cup. Here is a look at the odds for the contest.
According to the latest oddsmakers, the United States is favored to win this game, as the Americans are getting odds of -250 to win, while Sweden has been given odds of +550 to prevail. The odds of a draw are listed at +360, while the over/under total for the game is set at 3 goals.
The United States opened World Cup play with a 3-1 win over Australia on Monday. The Americans jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead on a goal from Megan Rapinoe. Australia would answer moments later and the game would be tied until the 61st minute when Christen Press recorded the game-winner Rapinoe would add an insurance goal in the 78th minute.
Sweden opened up the World Cup on Monday as well, but went to a 3-3 tie with Nigeria. Sweden jumped out to a 2-0 lead when Desire Oparanozie and Nilla Fischer scored. Nigeria managed to tie the score early in the second half, but Sweden would again grab a lead at 3-2 when Linda Sembrant scored. Nigeria would then get the tying score in the 87th minute.
