Denmark W. Cup Odds
In its limited appearances in World Cup history, Denmark has posted an impressive winning percentage and it looks to add to that in the 2010 World Cup starting Friday.
Denmark World Cup History:
Number of Previous World Cup Appearances: 3
Last Appearance: 2002
Best Finish: Quarterfinals (1998)
All-Time World Cup Record: 7-4-2
Odds:
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com, Denmark has been given 125/1 odds to win the World Cup. Spain is the favorite coming in with odds of 4/1.
2010 World Cup Qualifying:
Denmark qualified for the World Cup by winning UEFA Group 1. It went 6-1-3 in the 10-game format, scoring 16 goals while allowing just five to score 21 points and best Portugal by two points. The lone loss during qualifying came against Hungary. Soren Larsen led Denmark in its qualifying effort by scoring five goals in the 10 games.
Betting Analysis:
Denmark will play in Group E which features Holland, Japan, and Cameroon. Holland is the clear favorite in the group, but Japan and Cameroon have a lot of the same problems Denmark has in terms of talent. With the open group, Denmark has a chance to break into the single elimination tournament, but don’t expect it to get much further than that.
