ELMONT, NY (The Spread) - In yet another upset this triple crown season, Palace Malice won the 145th running of the Belmont Stakes today at Belmont Park.
Palace Malice was the leader when the field headed down the stretch and he managed to stay out in front of the pack to claim victory. Following Orb's win at the Kentucky Derby and Oxbow's victory at the Preakness Stakes, Palace Malice became the third different winner to claim victory at a triple crown race this year.
