World Cup Group E Odds
(The Spread) – Group E of the 2014 World Cup has a perennial World Cup contender leading the way. Here is a look at the odds to emerge from this group as the winner.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, France is favored to win Group E, as it has odds of -138 to prevail. The other odds are Switzerland (+275), Ecuador (+400) and Honduras (+2500).
France won this event back in 1998 and finished second in 2006. However, France also failed to reach the second round in 2002 and 2010.
Switzerland has never gotten past the quarterfinals of the World Cup, but they have reached at least the second round in five of their nine appearances, last doing so in the 2006 event.
Ecuador is making just its third World Cup appearance, last competing in 2006, when it reached the second round of the event.
Honduras is making its third appearance in a World Cup and appearing in its second straight World Cup for the first time. Honduras has never reached the second round of the event.
