Unlimited Budget Belmont Odds
ELMONT, NY (The Spread) - The 2013 Belmont Stakes will take place in just over 24 hours and contender Unlimited Budget could surprise.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Unlimited Budget is 10/1 to win Saturday's race while Orb remains the favorite at 5/2 after winning the Kentucky Derby last month. Revolutionary has the next best odds at 11/2, while Oxbow is 6/1 and Freedom Child is 17/2.
Continuing with the latest odds, Palace Malice and Golden Soul are 12/1, respectively, while Overanalyze is 14/1 and Will Take Charge is 20/1. Vyjack and Incognito are both 25/1, respectively, while Frac Daddy is 28/1 and both Giant Finish and Midnight Taboo have the longest odds at 33/1, respectively.
Unlimited Budget didn't run in either the Kentucky Derby nor the Preakness Stakes, but he has started in four graded stakes races over the course of his career. He won the Grade 2 Demoiselle on November 24, the Grade 3 Rachel Alexandra on February 23, the Grade 2 Fair Grounds Oaks on March 30, and placed third in the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks. In his first career start, he won a Maiden Special Weight at the Aqueduct in November of last year.
The post positions were drawn on Wednesday of this week and Unlimited Budget will start out wide from the No. 13 gate. Frac Daddy drew the rail, Freedom Child will start from the No. 2 gate and Orb will emerge from the No. 5 post.
The 2013 Belmont Stakes will take place from Belmont Park on Saturday, June 8.
