Will Take Charge Belmont Odds
ELMONT, NY (The Spread) - With the 2013 Belmont Stakes rapidly approaching, Will Take Charge remains a long shot to win.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Will Take Charge is currently a 20/1 long shot to win this Saturday's race. Orb is the favorite at 5/2 while Revolutionary is 11/2 and Oxbow is 6/1. Freedom Child, meanwhile, is 17/2 while Unlimited Budget is 10/1.
Continuing with the odds, Palace Malice and Golden Soul are both 12/1, respectively, while Overanalyze is 14/1 and Vyjack is 25/1. Incognito also has 25/1 odds, while Frac Daddy is 28/1 and both Giant Finish and Midnight Taboo are 33/1, respectively.
Will Take Charge competed in both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes, finishing eighth and seventh, respectively. He also won the Grade 2 Rebel Stakes on March 16 and finished sixth at the Grade 3 Southwest Stakes on February 18.
His other win a graded stakes race came on January 21 at the Smarty Jones. He also placed second at the Remington Springboard Mile but finished a disappointing 13th at the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club in November of last year.
When the post positions were draw on Wednesday, Will Take Charge drew the No. 10 post. Orb will start out of the No. 5 gate, while Revolutionary will start out of the No. 9 post and Oxbow drew the No. 7 post.
The 2013 Belmont Stakes will take place from Belmont Park on Saturday, June 8.
