American Pharoah Belmont Odds
ELMONT, NY (The Spread) – With the 2015 Belmont Stakes set to run in less than 48 hours, Triple Crown contender American Pharoah remains the clear favorite to win at Belmont Park.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, American Pharoah is a 5/7 favorite to win Saturday’s race and capture the first Triple Crown since Affirmed pulled off the feat in 1978.
Since finishing fifth in a Maiden Special Weight on August 9 of last year, American Pharoah has won six straight races, which include the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes. His other victories came in the Grade 1 Arkansas Derby, the Grade 2 Rebel, the Grade 1 FrontRunner, and the Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity.
Frosted, meanwhile, is 6/1 to win the Belmont Stakes, making him American Pharoah’s biggest threat according to the odds. Frosted finished fourth in the Kentucky Derby but should be rested after not running in the Preakness. His last victory came in the Grade 1 Wood Memorial on April 4.
