NBA Finals Prop Odds

The Los Angeles Lakers are ready to take on the Boston Celtics in the 2008 NBA Finals as the series starts Thursday night. The series will mark the 11th time the Lakers have met the Celtics in the Finals.

Bet the NBA Finals

If the previous 10 meetings offer any indication on how this year’s Finals will play out, the Celtics have a lot to look forward to. Boston has won eight of the previous 10 NBA Finals matchups with the Lakers, but Los Angeles has won the last two meetings, which were played in 1985 and 1987.

According to oddsmakers from Sportsbook.com, the Lakers have the clear cut advantage and have opened at –200 to win the seven game series. But even though the odds are stacked against them, nobody should discount what the Celtics’ trio of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen can do. There’s certainly plenty of value in taking Boston to win the series.

While honoring this storied rivalry, Sportsbook.com has set “Old School vs. New School,” prop odds, which offer bettors a chance to wager on star players from past Lakers-Celtics matchups. To check out the “Old School vs. New School” prop odds, as well as series prop odds from Sportsbook.com, see below.
