According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Brazil is the favorite to win, as it has 3/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Argentina (9/2) and Germany (11/2). The United States has been given 100/1 odds.
Brazil is a five-time winner of the World Cup, with the last title coming in 2002. Brazil hasn’t reached the semifinals in the last two World Cups. Brazil will have the advantage of playing in its home country. The last team to win in its home country was France in 1998.
Argentina is a two-time World Cup champion, with the last title coming in 1986. Argentina hasn’t reached the semifinals in the last five World Cups.
Germany is a three-time World Cup winner, with the last title coming in 1990. Germany has placed third in the last two World Cups.
