Marco Andretti Indy 500 Odds
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (TheSpread) – Marco Andretti has never won the Indianapolis 500, but he still comes into Sunday’s race as the favorite.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Andretti has been given 5/1 odds to win this race. He will start in 6th position for Sunday’s race.
Sunday will be Andretti’s ninth attempt at winning the Indy 500. He finished second in his debut in 2006 and third on two other occasions. He also finished fourth in last year’s race.
Andretti is currently seventh in the IndyCar point standings. He has yet to pick up a win this year and has one runner-up with another eighth-place finish. Andretti hasn’t won an IndyCar race since 2011.
Andretti is starting sixth on Sunday, which is his third-best starting position in this race. The sixth starting position has produced a total of five winners, with the last coming in 2011. He will also be part of the second row, which has produced 18 total victors.
The Indianapolis 500 will take place on Sunday, May 25 from Indianapolis Motor Speedway at Noon ET on ABC.
