INDIANAPOLIS, IN (TheSpread) – Will Power has been the man to beat in the 2014 IndyCar season. Will he be the man to beat in the Indianapolis 500?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Power has been given 7/1 odds to win this race. He will start in 3rd position for Sunday’s race.
Power is seeking his first Indy 500 victory. He has competed in the race the last six years, finishing at a peak of fifth in 2009. He has placed outside the top 10 four times in his Indy 500 career, including the last three years.
Power is currently the IndyCar points leader through four races. He started the season off strong, picking up a victory. He has finished in the top 8 of all four races and in the top 5 of three, including one runner-up.
Power will start third on Sunday. The third position has produced a total of 11 winners in race history. The last of which came in 2010. Power will also be part of the first row in the starting grid, which has produced a total of 42 Indy 500 winners.
The Indianapolis 500 will take place on Sunday, May 25 from Indianapolis Motor Speedway at Noon ET.
