James Hinchcliffe Indy 500 Odds
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (TheSpread) – James Hinchcliffe is having a tough start to his 2014 IndyCar season, but he can change all that with a win in Sunday’s Indianapolis 500.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Hinchcliffe has been given 8/1 odds to win this race. He will start in 2nd position for Sunday’s race.
Hinchcliffe has competed in three Indianapolis 500s. His best finish came in 2012, when he finished sixth. He also started second that year. His other two Indy 500s have seen him finish outside the top 20.
Hinchcliffe is currently 21st in the IndyCar standings. He hasn’t landed a top 5 this season and only has one top 10 to his credit. He has finished outside the top 15 in three of four events this year.
Starting the second position isn’t a bad place to be. There have been 11 Indy 500 winners to come from the second position, the last coming in 2000. He is also part of the front row of the starting grid, which has produced 42 race winners, the last coming in 2010.
The Indianapolis 500 will take place on Sunday, May 25 from Indianapolis Motor Speedway at Noon ET.
