Titletown Five Preakness Odds
BALTIMORE, MD (The Spread) - The 2013 Preakness Stakes is this weekend and one contender with long odds is Titletown Five.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Titletown Five is a 30/1 long shot to win the 2013 Preakness Stakes, which makes him the biggest underdog in this year's race.
In studying his recent race history, it's not difficult to see why Titletown Five is a long shot to win this weekend at Pimlico. He finished fourth in the Grade 3 Derby Trial on April 27, and ninth at the Grade 2 Louisiana Derby on March 30. He did finish second at the Gazebo on March 2 and won a Maiden Special Weight on October 28 of last year.
The 3-year-old colt is trained by D. Wayne Lukas and is owned by the trio of William Davis, Paul Hornung and Ed Martin. He was bred in Kentucky by Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings, LLC, and he comes from the pedigree of Tiznow and D'Wildcat Speed by Forest Wildcat.
The 2013 Preakness Stakes will take place on Saturday, May 18 at 6:24PM ET, which is the post time. The race will take place at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. Orb is the current favorite at 7/5 while Departing has the next best odds at 7/2. Goldencents is 7/1, Itsmyluckyday is 9/1 and both Mylute and Will Take Charge at 12/1, respectively.
