Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.COM have made Tiger Woods a 7/2 favorite over Phil Mickelson (10/1), Sean O’Hair (25/1) and Geoff Ogilvy (28/1), among others.
In five events this season, Woods has amassed 855 points, which ranks him 10th this week in the 2009 PGA Tour Regular Season FEDEXCUP Points. He sits 532 points behind Ogilvy, who currently ranks first with 1,387 points after nine events. Woods currently has four top 10 finishes, while Ogilvy has three.
Mickelson has been one of the more consistent golfers this season, racking up 1,363 points and five top 10 finishes in nine events. The same could be said for O’Hair, who has six top 10 finishes in 10 events, which is good for 1,336 FEDEXCUP points.
A couple of intriguing long shots are Kenny Perry (33/1), Steve Stricker (40/1) and Zach Johnson (50/1), who are all ahead of Woods on the 2009 PGA Regular Season leader board. Stricker even has five top 10 finishes in 10 events so far this season.
