Mylute Kentucky Derby Odds
CHURCHILL DOWNS, KY (The Spread) - Could Mylute be a potential sleeper this weekend at the 2013 Kentucky Derby? Let's take a look at their odds.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Mylute is 16/1 to win the 2013 Kentucky Derby while Orb and Verrazano are the two favorites at 4/1, respectively. Goldencents is also among one of the favorites at 11/2, while Normandy Invasion is 9/1 and Revolutionary is 10/1.
Mylute drew the No. 6 post position on Wednesday, which has produced six Kentucky Derby winners all-time. The rail and No. 5 post positions have each produced 12 victories all-time, while the No. 4 post has had 11 winners emerge from its gate.
Mylute recently placed second at the Grade II Louisiana Derby on March 30 but he also finished seventh at the Grade II Risen Star on February 23. In his other graded stakes races, he placed third at the Grade III Delta Downs Jackpot and fifth at the Grade III Arlington-Washington Futurity.
Tom Amoss is Mylute's trainer while Rosie Napravnik is his jockey. Amoss was indicted into the Fair Grounds Hall of Fame in 1998, where he has won over 10 leading trainer titles. Napravnik, meanwhile, rode Pants on Fire in the Kentucky Derby in 2011 and finished ninth, which was the best-ever finish by a female jockey.
The 2013 Kentucky Derby will be held on Saturday, May 4 at 6:24PM ET (Post Time).
