Ice Box Odds
One of the hotter horses entering the 2010 Kentucky Derby is Ice Box, who has won three of his last four races.
Ice Box won at the Florida Derby-G1 on March 20, although he finished fifth at the Fountain of Young-G2 on February 20. He did win at Allow and MSW on January 18 and October 30 of last year, respectively.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made Ice Box 10/1 to win the 136th running of the Kentucky Derby. His odds trail Lookin at Lucky (2/1) and Sidney’s Candy (3/1), although are on par with Nobles Promise, Awesome Act and Super Saver, whom all have 10/1 odds as well.
Ice Box closed from last place at Gulfstream Park to win the Florida Derby in his finale Derby prep, which he won by a nose. Trainer Nicholas P. Zito is hoping for another similar performance out of the 3-year-old colt, who could be one of the sleepers at Churchill Downs.
The 2010 Kentucky Derby takes place this Saturday at 6:14PM ET at Churchill Downs. For opening odds on all of the contenders, see below.
