Best Supporting Actress Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – The 2015 Academy Awards takes place on Sunday and if the odds are any indication, Patricia Arquette will be taking home an Oscar.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Arquette is a massive 1/50 favorite to win the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Boyhood.” Emma Stone has the next-best odds for her work in “Birdman,” but she’s only 14/1 to win the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
The three long shots to win for Best Supporting Actress are Keira Knightley, Laura Dern and Meryl Streep at 25/1, respectively. Knightley was in “The Imitation Game,” Dern was nominated for her role in “Wild” and Streep is up for an Oscar for her work in “Into the Woods.”
This is Arquette’s first Academy Award nomination while it’s Witherspoon’s second. Witherspoon won the Oscar for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role back in 2006 for her role in “Walk the Line.”
