Best Actor Odds
HOLLYWOOD, CA (The Spread) – The Best Actor category at the 2013 Grammys is pretty much a slam dunk, but here is a look at the odds for each nominee.
The Grammys take place this Sunday at 8PM ET and will air live on ABC. According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Daniel Day-Lewis is the overwhelming favorite to win this award, as he has 1/50 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Hugh Jackman (10/1) and Joaquin Phoenix (33/1).
Lewis played President Abraham Lincoln in the biopic about his life. He has been nominated for best actor by many award shows and won the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award for best actor. He is a two-time Academy Award winner.
Jackman played Jean Valjean in “Les Miserables” and he was the Golden Globe winner for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical. He has won multiple Tony Awards but never has received an Oscar.
Phoenix is nominated for his role as Freddie Quell in the movie “The Master”. He has been nominated in the past for the Academy Award, but never has won the award for Best Actor.
