South Korea brings a very strong team to the relay, as a number of the top contenders in individual races are from the country and they are combining for this relay. South Korea placed third at the 2012 world championship, but didn’t place in 2013.
China won the Olympic gold medal in this event in 2010 and has won the last two world championships. China is the perennial power in this event, but South Korea appears to be fielding a strong team.
